My Meditation Story
I have been practicing meditation & its various forms since the early age of 8. Meditation was part of the path towards earning my Black Belt in Taekwondo. My young ADHD brain, full of Strattera & caffeine, incredibly struggled to grasp the concept of concentration.
Over the years, through coaching, movement & meditation, I was able to gain extreme insight into How my brain worked. Now & without the need for substances, I am proud to say I am able to take full advantage of my ADHD, PTSD & other mental conditions to help those around me.
Meditation then became a key part in my progression through the sport of Martial Arts Tricking, eventually becoming a professional & touring the county to share my knowledge of the sport. I then received a series of injuries that have required me to rebuild my body from zero.
Meditation worked wonders for me during periods of withdrawal following painkillers used in complex orthopedic surgeries & helped me better manage my pain to heal during physical therapy. Meditation assisted in my healing profoundly & is one reason I can move so well today.
Meditation is no silver bullet, I did/do need surgeons to fix me & doctors to test me, but meditation worked for me & still does through my personal practice every day.
